Our Beliefs

• We believe in the one loving God, who exists eternally in three persons -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the One who created and sustains the universe.



• We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. While on this earth he was fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, Mary, by the miracle of God. He lived a perfect life and then allowed His blood to be shed on a Roman cross as payment for the penalty of mankind’s rebellion and wrong-doings. After three days God raised Him from the grave and He now lives at the right hand of God interceding on our behalf and awaiting the time of His return to earth to gather the Church to Himself.



• We believe the Holy Spirit is Christ’s presence on earth. He is the One Jesus promised to send to His followers. He takes residence in the hearts and lives of all who invite Him in and empowers them to live the way God intended mankind to live -- after the pattern of Jesus.



• We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, written word of God. God is the source of all truth. The Holy Spirit illuminates the Bible for us and helps us see how to apply its truth to our lives. The Bible is the final authority in the life of Jesus’ followers. We are to obey its teachings. All other revelations must be judged according to its truth.



• We believe God created mankind in His image. The first man and woman decided to disobey God and rebel against His authority. Hence mankind’s perfect fellowship with God was broken. This resulted in their being expelled from paradise, the corruption of all creation, and the establishment of an eternal void in the human heart which only a repaired relationship with God can fill.



• We believe Jesus Christ, and His shed blood, represent the only way to repair mankind’s broken relationship with God. This reparation is a gift freely offered to any who believe on Jesus and accept the forgiveness available through His shed blood. This is the gift of new life [see John 3:3].
